Recycling

The Town of Spring Prairie Recycling Area is located at Buddy Short Salvage & Recycling, W1765 State Road 11 (south side of State Road 11 between State Road 120 and Clausen Road). There is a dumpster for recyclable items including paper, aluminum, tin, glass, and plastic items. They will also accept scrap metals. There is no charge to residents for this service. We do not accept drain oil or cooking oil. They will also accept tires and batteries, but there will be a charge for these items.

A Clean-Up Day is held each spring where large items are also accepted. Clean-up locations are at the Town Garage and at Honey Lake. Walworth County generally holds a Clean Sweep day for household chemicals and farm chemicals, as well as a Clean Sweep event for prescription drugs.

Watch our Notices page for information on these events.

RESIDENTS OF SPRING PRAIRIE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR DISPOSING OF THEIR OWN TRASH, GARBAGE AND RECYCLABLES. THE TOWN PROVIDES A RECYCLING AREA FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE. THE RECYCLING AREA IS FOR RECYCLING - IT IS NOT FOR DISPOSAL OF TRASH AND GARBAGE.
